Mission Statement

Our mission is to educate children and adults on the art of dance and movement by nurturing them into being not only magnificent performers, but exemplary human beings. We put emphasis on encouraging our students to not only strive for excellence in everything they do, but to have a compassionate and empathetic character as they navigate through the world as people and performers.

Who is Ms. Feyi?!

My name is Feyisayo Orisadipe and I have been dancing for 14 years. I have had the privilege of training in genres such as Ballet, Modern, Majorette, Jazz, Hip Hop, and Contemporary. I received my Bachelors degree in Theater Arts with a concentration in dance and Movement studies. Additionally, I am currently pursuing a Masters of teaching degree in dance education. My love for dance began when I was nine years old while being a part of the dance ensemble in church. Due to my family's finances, I was not able to receive consistent training outside of public school and church. However, this did not stop me from pursuing what I love. My passion for the art of movement gave me the motivation to share my knowledge with others. My goal is to to teach children and adults, like myself, who were not privileged enough to seek professional dance training. My love for performance has become stronger as the years go on and hopefully that will bleed into others.

Movement preparation that is catered to the specific audition. (2 hours)

A total of 3 and a half hours of preparation as needed

(All auditions are not the same. As a result, the package is on a case by case and as needed basis)

Class Services

Majorette

This majorette-style dance began in the late 1960s at historically black colleges and universities, or HBCUs. It combines the energy of the high-step marching style of black college bands with West African, jazz, modern and hip-hop choreography.

Heels

Heels is a style of dance that combines elements of hip hop, contemporary, and jazz dance which is danced in high heels. In this class you will learn to dance while feeling sexy and empowered.

Contemporary

Contemporary dance is a style of interpretive dance that embraces innovation, blending techniques from various genres, including classical ballet, jazz, modern dance, and lyrical dance.

Hip Hop

Hip hop dance is a style of street dance form that evolved from hip hop culture and hip hop music. It borrows elements from a number of different styles like African dance, tap, and ballet. Hip hop dance began as a freestyle dance performed in the streets by dance crews, mostly to hip hop music.

Jazz

Jazz dance is a form of dance that combines both African and European dance styles. This high-energy dance has a liveliness that sets it apart from traditional dance forms, such as classical ballet. Like jazz music, jazz dance features improvisation.
